1) Creating a source file (My Source File.xls).

1) Creating a source file (My Source File.xls).

1.1) Open MS Excel

1.2) Create any Header of your source file.

1.3) Fill the goods (for example: digital cameras).

1.5) Category in Froogle format. (See Froogle web site for more info)

1.6) Links to your web-site/shop (cameras thumbnails).

1.7) Links to your web-site/shop (page with info about model).

1.8) Save your Excel file as My Source File.xls (Main menu/File/Save as... ) and close Excel.


2) The first opening of a source file.

2.1) Run FeedFile Creator (from Start menu or Desktop icon).

2.2) Press: Open Items File [Ctrl+O] (from Main menu/File/Open Items File).

2.3) Open your Excel source file: My Source File.xls


3) Import Profile setup.

The file opens first time. You will see a window of adjustments (Import Profile window).
You should adjust rules of import for your file.

3.1) Import Profile window - page: Fields

3.2) Choose a line: src Product Name (left mouse button).
And will choose a "product name" field (from your source xls file: MyName) from "File Field" drop-down list (ComboBox).

3.3) Now You see: "src Product Name" (program field) links to "MyName" (file field).

3.4) Make in the same way for all other fields (MyName, MyID, MyDescription, MyPrice, MyProductURL, MyImageURL, MyCategory).

3.5) After you have adjusted all fields, it is possible to adjust additional parameters.
Press on the page: Options. See Help file for more information about options.

3.6) This is source file ID-Text (from header and file extension).

3.7) Press OK and new Import Profile will be saved.


4) Export to Froogle feed file.

4.1) Now you see all goods in items list.

4.2) Drag & Resize header columns that the list would look better.

4.3) Choose Froogle tab (no selected items, all goods are painted in orange color):

4.4) Press Check All and check all items (from toolbar button or from right-click menu).

4.5) Now you check all goods. See status line:

4.6) Only checked items will be exported to the feed file.
Press "Save Feedfile" for export to a Froogle feed file.

Export status and feed file name:


5) Viewing of results.

5.1) Your new feed file has been saved in a special Project Folder. Press "View Export files" (from main Menu/File/View Export files).

5.2) Windows file explorer with your feed file:

5.3) All your feed files will be saved in a special project folder: \Output\My Source File_XLS\.
Name of a project folder the same as name of your source file. You can have many source files.
All final feed files will be distributed on a project folders. In such a way you never will mix your feed files.
